Off to bed now so I can wake up at 5:30AM…going a sunrise hike in the morning. I’ve done it once before and it’s so terrible, but then the sun comes up and it’s all worth it.

Done, done, done with finals for winter term.
It happens every time: I’m ecstatic to be done with writing papers and ready to get the hell out of here. But then I stop and realize one more term is over. And I really do like it here.
I can taste freedom.
2 long papers written and passed in. One exam to go and then I’m done with this term. Hello, senior spring. Eek.
Intervention.
The stress and pressure of finals has manifested itself in an online shopping addiction. I’m not buying anything (sadly), but every break I get, I look at more clothes. Can’t stop. I’m hoping this fixation fades once I stop writing papers 24/7 and get some sleep.

So when I was in 8th grade, my cousin’s friend was graduating from college and his plans were to follow Phish on a cross-country tour. I’ll always remember this fact, because to my middle school self, it was the COOLEST thing anyone could do. I’m still not sure why I felt this way…I didn’t even really know Phish at the time. Anyway, this memory has stuck with me...
Awkward.
I just went to use the bathroom in the library and apparently the person in there forgot to lock the door. I found myself staring at a boy sitting on the toilet (on his iPhone).
2 things made it worse:
1. He was cute.
2. I saw him immediately after I came out.

My (German) professor: I thought of writing a book about it, but I've come realize it cannot be done.
Student: Where's your can-do attitude?!
Professor: See, that's where Americans and Europeans are different. We don't have a can-do attitude. Europeans still have their doubts.
